The camp "Miracle of Cognition 2024"
Theme of the camp: "Lighthouse Year in Klaipeda"

June 24-29 the 13th international camp for blind and visually impaired children "Miracle of Cognition" took place at the "Pasaka" campsite, near Giruliai beach! 100 participants from Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine gathered.

The camp was opened with the rhythmic chords of Oleg Podolskih, the accordionist of the "Rodyna" center.
The program was full of educational activities, getting to know the history of lighthouses in the Klaipeda region. Journalist and local explorer Denisas Nikitenka has shared interesting stories about Lithuanian lighthouses, the history of their origin and legends.
During the camp, the participants visited the ornithological station in Ventes Ragas, where they had the opportunity not only to touch and listen the birds, but also listened to interesting stories about the peculiarities of bird ringing, and learned about the history of the local lighthouse.
Visited the homestead of herbalist Virginijus Skirkevičius in Rusne, tasted herbal tea, listened to useful advice about plants and health.
The campers enjoyed the rhythms of African drums and met opera prima donna Nomeda Kazlaus.
Blind teenagers happily passed the driving challenge, where experienced instructors from Eiza Driving School taught them how to drive.
Fun and interesting educational activities of the Museum of the History of Little Lithuania took place.
A memorable performance by the clown Bom.
A wonderful introduction to pigeons presented by pigeon breeder Gediminas Rapalis.
Social activists Irma Jokštytė-Stanevičienė and Aistė Krušinskaitė shared all kinds of experiences, emerging challenges and success stories.
The final closing chord of the camp rang out in the Klaipeda Drama Theater, where the participants showed their musical talents and "tried out" the professional stage.
As every year, the campers enjoyed picnics by the sea, fun discos, a foam party, participated in scientific experiments laboratory, creative workshops, sports relays and various games.

The joy of cognition, excitement, support, laughter, friendship, music, happy hearts - Miracle of Cognition 2024.
