Who can participate?
We invite children and adolescents from 6 to 18 years old, who have different levels of vision impairments. In nature’s environment, only a couple hundred meters from the sea, surrounded by professional tiflologists, medical nurses and volunteers, Your children will gain unforgettable experience, as well as they will have a wonderful time. During the camp children and their guardians will visit exploratory tours around Klaipėda. They will also participate in creative and educational activities, especially designed for the advancement in the skills of visually impaired children. The participants will have a chance to meet with the winners of the 2016 Paralympics- Lithuania’s Golbol (blind hockey) team and other people with disabilities, who will share their life achievements and experience. We will start the days off with sun greetings and morning exercises. We will also enjoy the pleasures of the Baltic sea: building sandcastles, playing various games, arranging picnics in nature, jumping on trampolines. We will explore the environment surrounding us, look for nature’s produced materials, smell the blossoms, we will touch and feel the gentleness of the grass, the wetness of the sand near the sea. We will listen to the birds chirping, the rustle of the sea and we will live in these priceless moments. Every day we will try to experience and discover something new and gain the most positive emotions doing it. In the camp participants will be able to communicate in a foreign language with guests and foreign participants. Every participant is given the opportunity to express themselves by showing off their talents like dancing, singing, reciting poetry and etc. There will be attention given to mothers of children and guardians. They will be invited to yoga sessions. A professional makeup artist will demonstrate the basics of makeup and some intricate tricks, give valuable advice and individual lessons.
